Helping prevent utility strikes is the responsibility of anyone who works, digs or excavates near utility lines. That’s why the 811 "Call Before You Dig" nationwide program was created! The easily accessible resource is aimed at helping prevent excavation damage, utility strikes, and injuries. Simply dial 811 from anywhere in the United States and you will be connected to your local 811 call center where a representative will support you. These call centers will arrange for professional locators to come out to your location, mark the approximate location of buried utilities with flags or paint so they can be easily identified prior to any excavation activities beginning. At Canyon, safety and quality go hand in hand.
Today is #811Day, an important reminder to always #Contact811 before you dig to keep your community safe and connected to critical utilities. Contacting 811 before any digging project, large or small, is the single easiest step you can take toward reducing the chance of damaging utilities buried underground!
