Record Year for Weather Events

Eight major storm events, including Hurricane Laura, made 2020 a record year for bad weather throughout the Gulf Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions where Linetec operates. Despite many being impacted personally by these storms, employees at Linetec rallied to the call for restoring power to hundreds of thousands of people across 14 states.

Teamwork Increases Impact

In 2021, Centuri welcomed Riggs Distler & Company to the Power Group family. As part of our One Team philosophy and integrated operating company approach, Riggs Distler’s storm response capabilities, combined with Linetec’s, expanded our impact for supporting customers and communities.

Hurricane Ida was the second most damaging and intense hurricane to make landfall in Louisiana, with sustained winds up to 150 mph and destruction exceeding $65 billion. Linetec and Riggs Distler collaborated to deploy a combined 149 crews, nearly 750 employees working over 230,000 hours to the response effort.
